Métamorphose Festival
A three-day festival offering a wealth of artistic events for everyone.
Varia is transforming itself and invites you to experience creativity in a new way.
Plan your evenings and let yourself be surprised by one, two or three shows from here and further afield. Saturday afternoon will be dedicated to a family programme.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Theatre and the Studio for this festival, which offers a wealth of unique and evocative shared experiences.
The Métamorphose Festival celebrates that which, within us and around us, is in a state of perpetual transformation. Performances and hybrid forms come together here.
How can we sharpen our gaze on the richness of life, from the infinitely small to the infinitely large? How can we tinker with our flaws and rough edges, to allow the seeds of dialogue and the joy of encounter to sprout within us? How can we reclaim our dreams and our stories, on the fringes of dominant narratives? How can we keep moving, both within and without, to resist bitterness and rigid thinking? How can we reconcile our complexities to work together, to cooperate, whilst daring to claim our vulnerabilities? How can we allow ourselves to pause, to breathe, to laugh at ourselves, to laugh together, in the exhilaration of a shared moment?
To give birth to a new vision around this long-awaited moment of the season, we invited Zoé Kamalić, a Belgian illustrator and artist associated with La S Grand Atelier, to sketch out its contours and create the visual.
She introduces herself in a few words: “I have a multidisciplinary practice, stemming in particular from my training in visual communication. My illustrations are driven by the accidents of the line, which I keep sensitive and alive. My work is mainly based on stories that move me, in order to connect the personal and the collective.”
